What is my dog doing?

I was listening to Fresh Air on NPR a few weeks ago during their "animal week", and there was a scientist who had been diagnosed with autism early on in life. Her research centered on animals who performed repetitive moments. She likened this to the repetitive movements that some autistic children revert to as a coping mechanism, and believe that there was something troubling these animals. You can find a link to the story by clicking here

Cut to my own home, my pitt bull/beagle mix Cimarron (Cimi for short) does this nightly routine on our futon. I don't think we could classify it as repetitive like a pacing movement, but can anyone tell me what she is trying to do? Please note that this isn't the most elaborate dance she does, but it's the one I was able to catch on tape. video
